Body Mechanics Rehabilitation & Wellness, LLC was first established as Body Mechanics in 1997, to teach fitness exercises in the community. In 1999, Body Mechanics expanded to offer massage therapy and physical therapy services. The name changed to Body Mechanics Rehabilitation & Wellness, LLC.
As a contractor at The Dow Chemical Company until 2005, Body Mechanics Rehabilitation & Wellness, LLC helped develop and expand the on-site chair massage program to provide massages in over 12 buildings. On-site massage is still offered to businesses in the Tri-County area.
Physical therapy, bodywork, and massage therapy services are offered at Peggy Ivan’s clinic in her home at 3680 South Orr Road, in Freeland, Michigan. This gives patients a blend of complementary health care, including massage, myofascial release, muscle energy and strain counterstrain. This seems very effective in addressing pain and tightness. The traditional side of physical therapy addresses ROM, strength and flexibility limitations. Together, these techniques improve functional ability. Exercises give physical therapy patients the opportunity to perform a home program. This may include postural exercises, stretches, stabilization and/or strengthening exercises. Patients receive one on one care with an individualized program to address their goals.
